When employers are looking for potential candidates to fill a position
they are looking at their knowledge, skills, and attitudes (KSAs). Other areas
are just as important such as their personality traits. According to Spector
(2017), personality traits prove that certain classes of behavior can be
relevant for job performance and other behaviors (such as how psychologically
healthy they are) in the organization. Employers may want to look beyond the
skills needed for the job and assess personality traits of the candidate.
