There is always more!

Great! I am happy for you. You just started the job of your dreams or you just got that big promotion. You just closed on that huge sales deal or you just purchased your dream home. Way to go! Now what? What do you do next? What is your next goal? Have you “arrived”? Is it time for you to rest? These are questions you must answer from within. There is always going to be more. You know the phrase “the sky is the limit” well it really is. For example, I am a reader, as I finish one book I already have the next one ready. As Jim Rohn states “read all the books”, therefore, I know I will never run out of options. There will ALWAYS be more books to read, more people to serve, more people to teach, more money to make, more buildings to build, and more goals to achieve. Try this exercise I facilitate in my Goal Busters Course. Make a list of 100 things you want to do, just start writing, it does not matter the amount of money you need to accomplish these things, just write. Next begin to break these things down into sections (career, personal. life, ect), then into goals. Never stop dreaming. Keep on believing. Remember you are what you think, (no really you are).

Are you a Giraffe or a Turtle?

 Hello My Faithful Readers,

I recently heard this passage from Bishop T.D. Jake's in which I added my opinions as well. This passage makes perfect sense and can be applied to all people. I know which one I am. Read on to see which one represents you...

Giraffes and turtles occupy the same ground as any other animal. In our everyday lives we will associate with  giraffes and turtles. Turtles view the world from their ground level (notice I mentioned "ground") and giraffes view the world from their level (stop and think about where that is). Now that you have a perspective on the different views, stop and ask yourself who do you allow to comment on what's going on in your life? Turtles are between the giraffes legs looking up to say something about their life. Giraffes don't look down comment to the turtle because they don't have time to neither do they want to. Giraffes eat from the top of the trees because they can, they could, if they wanted to, bend down from time to time and eat the grass; however most of the time giraffes are eating from the top of the trees.Turtles eat from the grass because they have to, they have no other choice. Are you a giraffe or a turtle?

This is not to discourage you from getting advice or counsel from other people, this is simply a message to take heed to what you allow into your ears. Always take stock and look at the fruit in someones life before you allow them to speak into yours.Don't judge just look at the fruit and make a decision.

Are you an educator?

Let's first define what is an “educator”. Merriam Webster defines educator simply as one who is skilled in teaching; meaning we all have the ability to teach someone something at anytime and anyplace. The definition pretty much sums it up. An educator is one who educates, inspires, empowers, motivates, lifts up, understands, listens, acts, does not judge, and I could go on. Here is this week's message, look at one of the above actions that educators do on a daily basis. Ask yourself which one pertains to you? How many pertain to you? Now ask yourself who did you motivate today? Who did you inspire or empower today? See, education is not only for when we are in a school setting, education is a lifelong process. Who and what did you educate/teach someone today?

You have a choice

Hello great people and thank you for reading!

Life is about choices. As a family we watched the movie "God is not dead", this weekend. A professor asked his class to write something before they could get started with the subject matter of the class. (I will leave it at that so I do not spoil the movie for you). The first interesting fact was the professor did not ask the class their opinion about what he wanted them to write. He simply gave them his opinion only. The class had no options. The second interesting fact was the class was willing to write and not ask questions. They wanted to move forward to be able to "pass the class". In life we have goals and dreams we want to accomplish but at what costs? At some point we have to ask ourselves what am I willing to lack in understanding to be able to "pass the class". Some may say the class was not aware and did not understand what they were being asked to do. As adults we can not use this as an excuse. We have to ask questions. If we do not know, ASK! We all have a choice. Do not allow someone to take your choices away from you. Today's message is simple. Ask if you do not understand. Seek to understand first before making a decision. You are the one that has to live with the choice, you cannot blame anyone else.

Your thoughts are always welcome...

Thank you

Jim Rohn Thoughts

As many of you know I am a avid reader and Jim Rohn is one of my favorite speakers to listen to on success. Below are a few of his thoughts... Enjoy

Success is something you attract by the person you become.
Do something disciplined for 6 days straight.
Sharing makes room for more. The more you share the more you get back.
Your capacity will increase when you share.
Produce more than you need for yourself. This will allow you to help others.
Earn as much as you can as long as you can.
Good ideas rarely interrupt you. You have to search for them.
Take your seed not your need to the field/marketplace.

Thoughts welcome...
