In following
my “One Word” for the year “Focus,” one area I am going to focus on is
developing my craft. I have a niche, desire, passion, or some may say talent
for training, coaching, and teaching.
All of the mentioned areas have their differences in nature but they all
involve one key important area and that is speaking. One area I am going to
focus on is improving my speaking skills. I recently heard a quote that has
stuck with me “Don’t settle for I am good at it; grow into it”. Wow! What a
powerful concept. When I think about growing into something I think about
when I was a little girl my mother would buy clothes that were slightly too big
for me on purpose, she would always say I would grow into it. The article of
clothing would be slightly big for a few months then eventually I would be able
to fit it just right. What is your “it”, passion, or desire? What can you
potentially be the best at? Grow into “it” until it fits you perfectly. Stay
fit and in shape with what you desire and “it” will always fit who you are.
