Failure

Hello Readers,

One day my husband and I found ourselves sitting in a seminar about one of the best ways to build a business. Well, with the both of us having the desire to own a business, we figured what could it hurt to simply listen in? Well… it hurt very much. Shades of Blue was the name of our first business. It was a vending machine business. We purchased five vending machines for an amount we should not have. This story does not end pretty; we sold the machines after we were only able to get the machines into two locations. After we realized we were buying more candy than people did on Halloween, we used wisdom and decided to sell the machines. Thankfully another couple who was able to dedicate the time needed to run the business purchased the machines for a fraction of what we paid. Yes we were stuck with the debt but, we had our lives back, well at least until the next business. :)

The lesson learned here is, if you have a desire, jump in and do it. Use wisdom, and know when it is time to start and when it is time to get out. We did not research and we did not take the time to understand what we were doing. We now know better. We were not afraid to fail. Here is a quote from our new quote book due out soon:

“I do not fear failure; I have done it too many times, therefore I know it is bound to happen again, this is why I am successful.”

Your thoughts are welcome…
